It’s smart to teach and help your downline recruits, but never volunteer to do the work they need to do. You’re like the mother, after you show them you have to let them go so they can live in this business. They won’t be able to survive and profit if you fail to do this. You want to be a strong leader for them, encourage them to follow your examples as well. Anything different and you’re just doing affiliate marketing with some extra duties associated with MLM. If you want to be a leader and prosper in MLM, then do your job as a leader.
It may be tempting, but avoid thinking people will be lining up to buy from you just because you distributed some freebie product samples. You can spread some good will with free samples, but they won’t guarantee any sale. Choose your freebie recipients wisely. You want to give them to people who are really sitting on the fence and could go either way. And avoid giving it out too soon in the process, you’ll just lose it. Pay close attention to those with ‘yes’ on the tips of their tongues. Also, don’t be too generous and give them all out too soon.
Make yourself available to your downline and especially people you sponsor. People will do less for you and the business if no one shows they care to help them. What will happen is they’ll start working less and that will hurt everyone. The more available you are and the more supportive you are of your team the harder they will work for you. There’s no question about being able to make money with MLM, but certain things must be right such as your mental attitude, etc. There’s a terrible perception that it’s a just a get-rich-quick scheme, or scam. But sometimes it can seem that way. But in reality there are far too many MLM’s that are upfront and legitimate business opportunities.
